Designing a student planner

Turning scattered timetables, deadlines and revision plans into one student workflow.

Plate 02 · Original conceptual illustration

Context

SociusFlow explores a common student problem. Timetables and deadlines can be easy to record but harder to turn into a plan for the day.

My role

As managing director, I worked on the product direction and how to prioritise a first version for polytechnic and university students.

Approach

I considered what a student needs at the point of planning: what is due, how much time is available and which task to start. I treated AI assistance as a layer on top of that workflow and identified privacy and operating decisions the team would need to make before release.

Evidence

The illustration shows the planning concept. It is a portfolio graphic and carries no student data.

What I learnt

An automatically generated plan still needs to be easy for a student to review and change when their day shifts.
